Swapping end-links and spring bars

It's always exciting when a customer lets me know that one of my bracelets fits a new watch.  Sometimes the bracelet will fit the case radius perfectly and align with the spring bar holes with a nice tight fit between the end links and case.  Occasionally, though, you will need to do some light modifications to make it work.

Below you'll find some of the most common mods needed to get your Uncle Seiko bracelets on the wrist where they belong.  If you haven't already, checkout the Bracelet Compatibility Chart to view a list of all bracelet/watch combinations I offer.

Switch end links

Sometimes, all you need to do to get a bracelet to fit is to swap the end links.  For example, my Speedmaster Flat Link US1035 bracelet will fit on the Seiko 6139 if you just fit the stock 6139 end links with my bracelet.  There are several other combinations like this, and probably many more that I don't know about!

Switch spring bars

Occasionally, you can just change the spring bar to get your bracelet to fit.  Divers tend to take a thicker "fat boy" spring bar, while others may take a skinnier bar.  Sometimes, though, depending on where the spring bar holes are in relation to your end link, they will need a thinner spring bar - or even just a different size spring bar collar tip.

For example, you can make any of my hollow end link SKX bracelets work on the Seiko 5KX just by swapping out the standard "fat boy" spring bars with my Custom 2.5mm Spring Bars.
